The film was a big hit, earning a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, and soon enough a sequel film, "Kick-Ass 2," was announced. Luckily for Dave, he is taken under the wing of two other vigilantes - a former cop who goes by the name Big Daddy ( Nicolas Cage) and his 11-year-old daughter, the deadly, foulmouthed Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz). Unfortunately, he sets his sights too high, and is completely unprepared when he comes up against crime boss Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong) and his son Chris D'Amico, or Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Dave Lizewski, "Kick-Ass" follows the teenager as he sets out to become a real-life superhero named, you guessed it, Kick-Ass. Based on the comic book of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., 2010's "Kick-Ass" is a hit movie that was truly at the start of the R-rated dark superhero genre.
